Dementia Concern supports people living with Dementia and their carers to live as independently as possible by providing dementia care services and practical help.  We have been providing information and support services for people with dementia and their carers in the London Borough of Ealing since 1982.  Dementia Concern has 50+ staff members and 25 volunteers and works across the London Borough of Ealing and beyond.  It’s a unique charity with specialist expertise in dementia developed over 39 years.  The charity works closely with local partners, GP surgeries and wider health organisations.  Dementia Concern currently serves 2,000 clients.  Dementia Concern has continually developed services to support the growing community need. 

Dementia Concern is looking for a Finance Assistant to provide back office support for the Finance Manager.  We’re looking for someone who has financial acumen, IT skills and a willingness to learn.  You will be joining a committed and diverse team that seeks to provide a supportive work environment for its staff and the best outcomes for its clients.  Training is supported and we have a good package of employee benefits.  The office has good transport links. 

3-5 days per week, £21,000 per annum, pro rata, office-based

  • Work with Excel-based and Sage Finance reports
  • Support monthly management accounts
  • Support the outsourced payroll company to run the payroll
  • Pay/support payment of bills and invoices
  • Do credit control/invoicing for the Call & Care/Social Club services
  • Support, as needed any end-of-year accounts preparation
  • Any other finance activity as may be needed
  • Help with opening up and closing of the office, as might be needed
  • Make deposits at local bank
  • Attend any applicable meetings, as may be required
