London Marathon 2026
Dementia Concern are back for the 2026 TCS London Marathon with 5 excellent runners.
The London Marathon is a wonderful way aspiring marathon runners can support people living with dementia. With all of our runners moitvated by their own experiences of family members with dementia, their motivation goes beyond the marathon, driven by wanting to improve the lives of those living with dementia and their carers.

I am coming home to the UK from NZ to run the London Marathon for Dementia Concern and celebrate my 50th birthday! Dementia is a cause close to my heart as both my grandfather and my aunt suffered from Alzheimers. It's really exciting to run this epic race for such an awesome charity.

My name is Matt, I’m 23 and I moved to Ealing when I started my first job in London. I have truly loved living here so far due to the real sense it being a self-contained community, distinct from the ‘London life’.
I first heard about Dementia Concern and the local work they do through Gunnersbury parkrun. I have been incredibly fortunate not to be personally impacted by dementia thus far, but as my parents and especially grandparents continue to get older, I am motivated to do something to help those who do suffer, and those who give so much to care for them.
I’m hoping to make everyone proud by running fast, but most importantly raising money for a great cause.

I'll be running this years London Marathon supporting Dementia Concern, a London-based charity dedicated to helping people in the city living with dementia and supporting those who care for them. Providing vital local services including daily activities, practical advice, emotional support, and community programmes that help individuals stay connected, independent, and supported for as long as possible.
In 2017 we lost my wonderful Grandma, Wendy, at only 73 to a rare form of PCA dementia. The services provided by Dementia Concern for families who find themsleves in similar situations to ours is truly invaluable. I would so appreciate any donation small or large to go towards such an amazing cause! Thank you x
