Peter Ryan - Chair of the Board of Trustees

Peter has a marketing and business background gained from mainstream multinational consumer goods companies across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He started a number of businesses in the food, traceability and parking services area before founding the MicroLoan Foundation, a micro-finance charity that provides business training, mentoring and small business ‘start-up’ loans to poor women in rural sub-Saharan Africa.

Martin Tyler

Martin has 30 year's experience in Financial Services and Big Tech companies, most recently as a strategist at Amazon, working with their customers to transform their businesses.He was motivated to join the Dementia Concern Board because of personal experience of family members with dementia, including his dad, and a desire to use his skills to give back to the community, utilising his passion to drive innovation. In his spare time he loves listening to books as well as getting outdoors, walking, running and cycling. Fun fact - he once cycled 1,000km from London to Barcelona for a children's medical research charity.

Bridget Goona

Bridget has spent her career as a People Director, working for a range of organisations across various sectors both globally and domestically. Passionate about helping organisations and individuals reach their full potential, she is a qualified coach with an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change.

In January 2025, Bridget became a trustee of Dementia Concern, inspired by her own experience of the charity’s invaluable services when her mother was diagnosed with dementia. Having cared for her mother, she understands first-hand how essential our advice and support can be for clients and their families during challenging times.

Bridget lives in Middlesex with her husband and their dachshund, Rolo. She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether in the garden, on long walks, travelling and being with family and friends.

Josh Larkin

With a career spent exclusively in the fundraising sector in both the UK and Australia, Josh Larkin brings a wealth of expertise to the charity and not for profit space. Working in small teams has given him a broad perspective, equipping him to support organisations and fundraisers across various specialisations.

Transitioning into recruitment was a natural progression for Josh, allowing him to best utilise his broad fundraising experience to benefit charities on a larger scale. Josh is now motivated by finding top fundraising talent for a wide range of charities, helping them build resilient teams in a highly competitive market.

As a proud and engaged Trustee at Dementia Concern, Josh offers support and guidance on fundraising, fundraising recruitment, and general organisational strategy

Jay Biswas

Jay has over 20 years of experience leading healthcare operations across the NHS, private, and digital health sectors, with a passion for making care more human, efficient, and accessible. Alongside her role as Head of Operations & Compliance, she joined Dementia Concern because she wanted to be part of an organisation that truly makes a difference to people’s everyday lives. Having seen the impact of dementia within her own circle, she's inspired by the warmth, compassion, and humour that shine through the work Dementia Concern does - a reminder that empathy and connection are just as vital as good governance.

Ash Patel

Seasoned Chartered Management Accountant with an impressive portfolio of successes positively impacting financial performance through expert development of organisational models / controls, reporting systems, and process improvements.

Equipped with 15 years of experience within diverse organisations across Pan-European as well as international media, financial services, IT, government, and NHS platforms.

A successful contractor driving cost transformation and reduction programmes through effective business leadership, performance management and financial controls while evaluating financial management systems and implementing process improvements during turbulent economic climates.

Dr. Anita Kulatilake

Anita is an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director with extensive experience leading dementia care, research, and service transformation.

She is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) and holds a PhD in Public Health from Imperial College London and an Executive MBA (Distinction). Anita is also a recipient of the Philip Davis Prize (RCPsych), was shortlisted for the award of “Psychiatrist of the Year 2022” (RCPsych), and was a finalist in 2022 for the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Patient Safety Award.

As a trustee for Dementia Concern, she is passionate about supporting people living with dementia and their families, working to strengthen community services and ensure compassionate, high-quality care for those who need it most.
