Over the next few weeks, we'll be introducing the amazing team of runners taking on the 2024 London Marathon for Dementia Concern.

Here's Kirsty!

Kirsty's Story

Kirsty is a 24-year-old piano and singing teacher from Dublin, living and working in London.

Last year she was so inspired by her friends who ran the marathon and the atmosphere on the day that she was determined to take part herself. Kirsty is fairly new to running and this race adventure. She ran the Dublin Women’s Mini Marathon last year, and this is Kirsty’s first full marathon ever!

Dementia is something close that affects so many families, including Kirsty’s. When Kirsty told her Grandad who has dementia that she was running the marathon he said “I’ll be there to take over if you get tired,” and that will be Kirsty’s driving force on the day.

Kirsty has a huge fundraising target of £3,000 for Dementia Concern. Any donations large or small or shares are hugely appreciated!
