Over the next few weeks, we'll be introducing the amazing team of runners taking on the 2024 London Marathon for Dementia Concern.

Here's Tyler!

Tyler's Story

I am running the 2024 London Marathon for Dementia Concern in memory of my grandad John, who we sadly lost in 2022.

Dementia affects more than 50 million people worldwide and there is currently no cure.

For my family, it was heartbreaking to watch the deterioration of my grandad, who transitioned from a full of life, proud and prim man, to slowly losing more and more of his memory, and needing full-time care.

After watching my mum and auntie become full-time carers for my grandad throughout his battle, it has opened my eyes to the devastating effects that dementia has on not just the sufferer, but their families and friends as well.

I am extremely proud to be running for Dementia Concern to be able to support them in aiding research and treatment into dementia, to hopefully make a difference to individuals and families who are affected in the future.

Myself and my family would be extremely appreciative of all donations, no matter how big or small, to support me on my run in memory of my Grandad.

Thank you!
